Life Was Never Meant To Be A Struggle Review

Life Was Never Meant To Be A StruggleLife Was Never Meant To Be A Struggle by Stuart Wilde.

I first read this book many years ago. It shares an incredibly simple message. It’s a tiny book. One that you can easily read in a single sitting. But it has stuck with me since the first time I read it. I’m not sure how many times I’ve read it now, but I’ve finished it more than a few times.

Life Was Never Meant to Be A Struggle explains that life is not absent from effort or work. There will always be hard times and easy times. I don’t like to say good or bad times because so much of good or bad is your perspective. But what makes life a struggle is the emotion we inject into our circumstances.

Don’t Create Struggle

You have to get up and go to work. Most of us do. Many of us don’t want to go to work. Actually, there are a lot of statistics that show most of us don’t want to go to work. Wilde’s point is that in situations like this, we make things worse for ourselves by telling ourselves how much we hate doing this. We create struggle where before there was only effort.

He does a much better job of explaining this point. I enjoy this book so much that just telling you about it makes me want to read it again. It shares such a simple message to make your life more meaningful and less stressful, that the point is easily forgotten and overlooked.

This book is well worth the read and if you can regularly apply its perspective, you’ll definitely be more content in your life!
